We made BUTTER!! We just put whipping cream in a jar and shook shook shook. Once a lump of butter formed we rinsed it, added some salt and ate some bread and butter. There's Ronni eating it below. hehe!

Milk - day 2
I had a ice cream cone cut out of white construction paper and then several circles cut out to use to make it a triple decker... =D. Then we used a potato bag but anything textured like a plastic screen or something to place behind the "cone" to make a rubbing as you color it brown. Then glue the icecream on top.
For math I drew ice cream cones on 10 index cards. I divided them into pairs and colored each pair a different color then we played a game like Memory.

Milk - day 1
I am hoping to do better this week. I'm not even going to try to catch up. I'll just start the blog here. ;) hehe! Today for our craft we painted w/ evaporated milk. I put a little bit of milk in the cups of a muffin tray and added a couple of drops of food coloring. That's it!
The cat, Baker, even enjoyed it. hehe
Here's Collin's final product. Isn't it beautiful?? hehe!
For a snack we had cheese kabobs. I cut the cheese into squares and Collin helped to stab them w/ the pretzels. LOL!
Finally, we played a math game. I numbered paper plates from 1-9. I also cut out 9 triangles (cheese wedges) and used a hole punch to put holes in them to correspond w/ each plate. Collin first put the plates in numerical order then he counted the holes in the cheese and placed them on the correct plate. He loved it and asked to play again.

Excuses Excuses...
I know I've been a slacker w/ posting the pictures lately but in actuality we haven't done any for two weeks. Collin and I have been getting the garden ready and planting veggie seeds to get them started before time to plant. It's been really fun! We're going to start out craftivities again this week with DINOSAURS. Woo-hoo! It'll be fun!!
Hearts Day 4
We made "Beary Happy Valentines" We cut out all the pieces and the kids glued them on.
Here is a puzzle we made w/ a heart shaped candy box so they were able to use the box to hold the puzzle.
We put hearts on straws.
I didn't get a picture of it but we also went on a heart hunt. Kind of like and Easter Egg Hunt only w/ cut out hearts instead. =D

Hearts Day 3
Here is the cake we made -- I made and the kids put the strawberries on. We all helped eat it though. It was a strawberry cake... I mean the batter had strawberries in it so under that white icing it was pink and it was sooooo yummy!!
Here are the kids decorating the cake.
I cut hearts out of different textured types of paper. And we made heart rubbings. They turned out pretty cool.
We didn't get a pic of this but I used the heart puzzles from the day before and gave each of the kids one half of a heart and they had to find their partner. We also sang "I'm a Happy Little Heart."
